Overcoming

Happy Sunday 🌷✌🏾,

Sometimes I’m humbly reminded of my strengths. There were days when sleeping all day was the norm. I spent many lonely nights contemplating why the pain would never go away. I know some of you are familiar with feeling hopeless.

Moments of pain forces a new version of ourselves to emerge. Either we use our pain to empower or disempower us. When we no longer allow our pain to take control over our present, the blessings that enter our lives become bountiful.

Think about all the times that you’ve been able to rise from adversity. You’ve been your own hero countless of times. Remember how powerful, strong, courageous and resilient you are!

Anyhoo, how are you feeling right now?

  1. The change is a king so tall,
It can be big or small,
Change is once , forever and for all,
In evolving , you play a role ,
No matter what you can or cannot control,
The divine is in everyone and everything complete and whole ,
You are always meant to have a call ,
A call to be , move vibrantly and roll,
Never say that you are tiny and weak ,
Drops of water gather to form an ocean and scroll,
God is in everyone and everything,
After the winter comes the spring,
The birds with blessings shall sing ,
Liberty and justice to bring ,
The divine is here and there ,
    everywhere
Dare to believe that life is fair ,
To be aware that freedom we declare ,
Infinite divine Love is never rare …

    1. Aw I’m so glad. That’s the beautiful thing about pain, it allows others to feel encouraged when we make it out on the other side. Thank you and hope you have a great October πŸ’œ

  2. This was something very different and yet perfectly related to. The choice of words and metaphors is wonderful and makes everything seem so realistic. The way how women in this society are treated and grief-stricken is completely and beautifully portrayed. I could feel my eyes moisten while reading some lines. What a masterpiece!! Kudos to you!!

    You are welcome

    1. I feel every word. I agree that it is easy to give into the pain of hopelessness that turns into the darkness of depression. I walk this path each day. As you said, I use my pain to press through and to empower myself to use my voice to help heal others. πŸ’–
